I wanted to give you a quick update on our progress. November and December saw the testing of our registration system and process for applications and we’ve had some really useful feedback.

We decided to do another round of testing including the guidance which has been continually refined and that is already underway. Once that is complete and we’ve made updates we’ll be starting our phased roll out of registration.

In the run up to registration opening we will be sharing key information including highlighting how registration will roll out, our eligibility which has been slightly widened taking into account feedback and sharing more of our policies and procedures.

We’ll also be updating our website to make it easier for different visitors to find the information that is most relevant to them.

The highlight of 2024 was welcoming our new board and committee members. The groups are now meeting regularly and have been working on a variety things including developing:

  • guidance for those who have not gained sufficient experience to apply for registration
  • a feedback mechanisms for applicants and those involved in fitness to practise
  • EDI monitoring
  • the certificate of proficiency

We will be recruiting additional panel members shortly and the role is open to both lay people and registrants.  Panel members will play a vital role in registration and fitness to practice. Please feel free to get in touch if you’d like to know more about this.
